The 4th Japan North Africa President Summit

The 4th Japan North Africa University Summit, a significant event addressing the central theme of research collaboration and social implementation to solve societal issues, occurred in Tunisia on July 10th. We would like to thank the University of Tsukuba for their invitation and the successful Summit.

This Summit, a testament to the collective efforts of university leaders and regional representatives, was a platform to strengthen institutional relationships and extend new value from North Africa and Japan to the world. Contributions were integral to the success of collaborative projects like the Science and Technology Research Partnerships for Sustainable Development (SATREPS).

Professor SHIMIZU Shuji, Vice President of Kyushu University, highlighted the university’s role in pioneering impactful research and cultivating solid connections in North Africa.

As the University of Tsukuba celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the Alliance for Research on the Mediterranean and North Africa (ARENA), it was proud to share its significant engagement in Academic partnerships, including research collaborations, industry cooperation, and student exchanges.
