Sympathy and Encouragement Message on the Damage Caused by the Earthquake in Turkey and Syria

We are deeply saddened by the loss of life caused by the earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria on February 6, 2023. The Kyushu University Community extends its heartfelt condolences to those who lost their lives and their families, and its deepest sympathy to those affected by this tragedy.

As one of the overseas hubs for the national project, Study in Japan Global Network Project, Kyushu University opened the Ankara Office in the Republic of Turkey and has long engaged in educational and research exchanges with students and researchers in the Middle East.

The University will make every possible effort to provide support in cooperation with related organizations in Japan and abroad.

We sincerely hope for the earliest possible recovery of those affected by the disaster and for the restoration and recovery of the affected areas.
