Kyushu University has embarked on its second century with a renewed commitment to creating greater impact. In 2021, selected as a Designated National University Corporation by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Kyushu University has set the stage for its next steps towards becoming a university that drives social change with integrative knowledge, aligning with Kyushu University VISION 2030.
Located in Fukuoka City, Kyushu University is comprised of four campuses, each with a specialized focus. The Ito Campus serves as a hub for integrated science and experimental research, while the Hospital Campus is central to life and medical sciences. The Chikushi Campus focuses on the fusion of cutting-edge sciences, and the Ohashi Campus centers around innovative design. Together, these campuses facilitate excellence in research and education.

JTW (Japan in Today’s World Program)
Experience Japan through a one-semester or one-year program taught entirely in English. JTW combines academic coursework with cultural immersion, offering international students the chance to explore Japanese society, develop language skills, and engage in cross-cultural exchange—all while earning university credit.

JLCC (Japanese Language and Culture Course)
Designed for advanced learners of Japanese, JLCC is a full-year program conducted in Japanese. It deepens students’ understanding of Japanese language, culture, and society through intensive coursework, individual research, and hands-on experiences like field trips and cultural activities.
